Book Trailer: Illusionarium by Heather Dixon

Book trailers and I are still unsure of each other. Occasionally we'll go out for coffee and everything will go great, and then the next day I'm upset and refuse to call. You know how it goes...

So to say that my response to book trailers is a bit hit and miss would be an understatement. Every now and again though, something wonderful comes along and I am reminded all over again about how brilliant book trailers can be.

Case in point - the new trailer for 'Illusionarium' by Heather Dixon. Dixon, like Stiefvater is a double threat. She can write incredible stories, but she's also an amazing artist and as a result has created a truly stunning video for the book.
It's simple, it's incredibly effective and I get goosebumps watching as I pine for the far off release date of May 19th. And if that's not the kind of reaction you want to get after watching a book trailer I don't know what is.

So here it is, feast your eyes on the beauty!

And afterwards go and check out her blog

And pre-order Illusionarium on Amazon here!

Release Date: 19th May 2015
What if the world holds more dangers—and more wonders—than we have ever known? And what if there is more than one world? From Heather Dixon, author of the acclaimed Entwined, comes a brilliantly conceived adventure that sweeps us from the inner workings of our souls to the far reaches of our imaginations.
Jonathan is perfectly ordinary. But then—as every good adventure begins—the king swoops into port, and Jonathan and his father are enlisted to find the cure to a deadly plague. Jonathan discovers that he's a prodigy at working with a new chemical called fantillium, which creates shared hallucinations—or illusions. And just like that, Jonathan is knocked off his path. Through richly developed parallel worlds, vivid action, a healthy dose of humor, and gorgeous writing, Heather Dixon spins a story that calls to mind The Night Circus and Pixar movies, but is wholly its own.

    1. I'm really wary of book trailers so I don't tend to check them out, but Heather really makes some incredible ones - her and Maggie Stiefvater are always ones to watch! Now I just have to be patient for the book to come out... Thanks so much for stopping by!
