Seraphina Advance Book Give Away

This giveaway is now closed! Check back shortly for the winner announcement!

So we're halfway through the year (almost) and I feel it's time to celebrate with another give away!
I have up for grabs, an advance reader copy of 'Seraphina' by Rachel Hartman, which is utterly fantastic!

The rules are thus:
1. Only open to those in the UK, very sorry, but my bank balance won't cover shipping costs anywhere else this month! I'll make sure the next giveaway is international!

2. It's open until midnight on July 2nd

3. In order to enter just leave a comment below and answer me this: If you could be any supernatural creature, what would you be?
If you're a follower of the blog that's always a bonus too!

The give away is open now - go for it and good luck!

There will be a separate post that will go live announcing the winner shortly after the close of the giveaway.

Four decades of peace have done little to ease the mistrust between humans and dragons in the kingdom of Goredd. Folding themselves into human shape, dragons attend court as ambassadors, and lend their rational, mathematical minds to universities as scholars and teachers. As the treaty's anniversary draws near, however, tensions are high.
Seraphina Dombegh has reason to fear both sides. An unusually gifted musician, she joins the court just as a member of the royal family is murdered—in suspiciously draconian fashion. Seraphina is drawn into the investigation, partnering with the captain of the Queen's Guard, the dangerously perceptive Prince Lucian Kiggs. While they begin to uncover hints of a sinister plot to destroy the peace, Seraphina struggles to protect her own secret, the secret behind her musical gift, one so terrible that its discovery could mean her very life.
In her exquisitely written fantasy debut, Rachel Hartman creates a rich, complex, and utterly original world. Seraphina's tortuous journey to self-acceptance is one readers will remember long after they've turned the final page.

  1. I would love to a shape shifter! Shifting into a wolf would be so cool.

I wouldn't mind being a vampire either. Running fast, cool eyes and no longer needing to breathe! The whole blood drinking thing is not that appealing though...

    Thank for the giveaway,

  2. Oooh- thankyou so much for this giveaway- I am so desperate to read this book!
If I could be a supernatural being I always thought it would be cool to be a werewolf. Just think- you are essentially human, so you could blend in, but you are fast, strong, and powerful... but actually, how cool would it be to be a were-dragon?! You could fly, (which is incredible) and you'd always be warm!

  3. ANY supernatural creature? That's tough. Um...
People always come after a dragon with swords and stuff, which would be tiresome. Besides, I don't think I'd want to lose my humanity, at least not completely, so it has to be something at least *part* human.

Shapeshifter, vampire, werewolf all look like thoughtless answers...

Harbingers of various sorts (banshee, kelpie, mermaid etc) are cool, but I reckon life as one would be pretty depressing...

    Ooh, undine. Yes, an undine!

  5. I'd probably be a vampire (sorry to be boring!), though I genuinely think they're the sexiest out of all the paranormals I've ever read about ;P Oh wait, I've always wanted to be a mermaid too... Hard to pick between two creatures that seem to be at opposite ends of the paranormal spectrum! Actually I quite like angels - I have realised I am just projecting my thoughts out aha, but it's quite a hard question! I'll have to go with vampire I think :)
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. Well u definitely haven't set us an easy task....
To be honest the first thing that popped into my mind when I read the question is (please don't laugh :p): a faerie. The idea of holding all that magic, knowledge and wings to fly and ride the winds across the land.... It sounds amazing! Not to mention the pixie like goodlooks, which would definitely help. So this would be my choice :)
Thank you for the lovely giveaway ^_^
