Book Giveaway: Die For Me by Amy Plum

This give away is now closed.

So I'm trying out this whole tempting people with free books thing... If it goes well then I'll make the book give-away a regular feature on the blog, but as it's new we're going to start out simple.

The book on offer is 'Die For Me' by Amy Plum

In the City of Lights, two star-crossed lovers battle a fate that is destined to tear them apart again and again for eternity.
When Kate Mercier's parents die in a tragic car accident, she leaves her life--and memories--behind to live with her grandparents in Paris. For Kate, the only way to survive her pain is escaping into the world of books and Parisian art. Until she meets Vincent.
Mysterious, charming, and devastatingly handsome, Vincent threatens to melt the ice around Kate's guarded heart with just his smile. As she begins to fall in love with Vincent, Kate discovers that he's a revenant--an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save the lives of others. Vincent and those like him are bound in a centuries-old war against a group of evil revenants who exist only to murder and betray. Kate soon realizes that if she follows her heart, she may never be safe again.

All you have to do to be in for a chance of winning is comment on this blog post explaining if you had/were a super power/super creature what would it be and why?
One of the big themes in 'Die For Me' are the Revenants - undead people who go around saving people. So I want to know if you want a super power what would it be, if you were an immortal what sort (feel free to make up cool new ones, don't just stick with the traditional vampires) and why.

I will then pick the best/coolest/one that makes me laugh the most (in my opinion) and that lucky winner will get a paperback copy of the book posted out to them. All clear? Excellent.

You don't have to do any fancy things to get extra entries, although if you follow this blog I will like you even more...

Closing date is Sunday/Monday morning (13th June 2011) at midnight (London time.)

Good luck, and get creative!

On a quick side note - because I was lame and forgot to put which countries are open for this giveaway, I'm going to make it international so those who have already entered from anywhere not the UK still are in with a chance.

  1. I'd love to have the ability to turn people into the opposite of whatever they are acting like at the time. The school "bully" would then be the school "bunny." The "pickpocket" would be a "philanthropist." Just to see the faces of those people would be a hoot because they wouldn't know what hit them.

  2. sorry but I'll have to go with the vampire ability to teleport..I love to eat and so I'd like to be able to just pop into a country for food. Since all of us can't live in Frace ;) like Amy...I could teleport there and grab my fresh french style breakfast. Second choice I guess would be something with wings, fairy or angel. It's a little slower method of travel but heck I'd take it =) Thanks so much for the chance to win. One thing us readers like most besides reading is giveaways for more reads ;) Thanks!

  3. I'd love to be able to show people visions of what their future might hold if they continue to make the same kind of decisions. Someone who doesn't wear a jacket when it's appropriate, might see a day when the weather turns unexpectedly horribly cold, and the power is knocked out, so the stores are closed, and she's lost her keys, so she can't get back into her place to get a coat. . . and then it starts raining, so her clothes are soaked, too. . . and all of her friends that might loan her warmth are out of the country on holiday. . . yikes, I'm starting to scare myself!!

  4. Yay this is awesome!!!! Is this international? Thanks for the giveaway opportunity:) I've had my eye on this book so *fingers crossed* I follow your blog & Twitter page (@vmartinezwrites)

For my ability I'd love if I could heal instantly (not myself but others) I think it would come in handy just like moving objects/people with my mind would too that would be just as awesome and very convenient:)

  6. If this is international, I'd lke to be included :D

Now, I have no intentions of copying, but I'd love to be an immortal with an ability to be invisible.
The reason I'd like to be an immortal is cause I'd have a chance to travel all over the planet, read every single book, watch all movies etc. Plus, I wouldn't die :)
The reason I'd want to be invisible is cause I could eavsdrop (I know, I know, it's not very smart). That way I would find out what people really think about me, and I could sneak into famous author's houses without being seen, which means I'd be able to read their drafts before anyone else ;)
