She's really changed and a lot of that is...Yes! She's really changed and a lot of that is understandable and natural, but rejecting Celaena so thoroughly was a bit hard because everyone has come to care about Celaena, so it's a very strange adjustment to make. Chaol needs cuffing upside the head right now. I'll be interested to see where he goes in the next book because REALLY BOY GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER. Also agree that it does feel like Chaol and Dorian have really been shoved out of the picture - hopefully another thing that will change in the next book!Rosyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06460676250901770530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-514984336753021661.post-31522716620286966432015-09-15T00:21:24.060+01:002015-09-15T00:21:24.060+01:00I agree with pretty much everything you said here....I agree with pretty much everything you said here. I also had issues with this book, particularly where Chaol and Aelin were concerned. In many ways, I felt Aelin has become a much different person compared to earlier books and while some of it is understandable, it feels like she's rejected Celaena completely and I feel really conflicted about this because it was Celaena I fell in love with. I don't like how Chaol was written in this one and it drives me crazy because whatever supposedly happened to him to alter his personality goes unexplored (since it is between Heir and this one). I always thought this series had three main characters, but this installment took away from both Chaol and Dorian. I ended up giving it four stars too btw.Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsensehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12100606566359762426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-514984336753021661.post-79321530029210628002015-09-14T14:27:09.865+01:002015-09-14T14:27:09.865+01:00Chaol is a very different guy in this book, be war...Chaol is a very different guy in this book, be warned.
